160g Oja! Dry Roasted Soya Beans

250ml Butternut

Water for soaking Beans

1.2L Water

Oil for frying

2 Heaped tablespoons Beef Stock

1 Onion

15ml Fresh rosemary, chopped. Keeping a small piece out for garnishing


  1. Soak Oja! Soy Beans for 20 min in boiling water.
  2. Add Stock and 1.2L water to soaked soya beans & cook for 20 minutes in a pressure cooker. Remove from heat and liquidize the soya beans into a pulp.  Fry butternut in a little butter to light brown and caramelized.  Add half of the butternut to the soya pulp and pulse until smooth
  3. Cut onions and fry in oil.  Add the rosemary.
  4. Add the Soya pulp mixture.  Stir through. Add salt and pepper if needed. Top with remaining butternut and rosemary twig. Serve with fresh baked bread and butter!
